This is my reply to an invite of a DS get together in LA that I'll be missing on Dec 16 because I'll be in Detroit in stead.

A freelancers life is waiting for “the call”. I hear the phone ring - I get on the ball. So when “the call” comes in my choice must be clear. When you work one week a month, it’s work vs. beer!
One of you kind folks put my name in the air. That I drive a DS, some say even fair. So rather then DS’ing to LA in December. I’m off to Detroit for 3 weeks to remember.
Editing I do for fun and for profit. Beers with DS’ers surely would top it. Sad for my loss but happy for work. The “Brig” Bash I’ll miss, don’t call me a ...umm... er... when I’m in the shower?? Ahh... Late for dinner??
